Sigma Alpha Iota

     Throughout her career, Ashley has involved herself with furthering music, which is why she joined the professional music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota. This fraternity aims to bring together women in order to promote the importance of advancement of music. Since joining SAI, Ashley has taught the fraternity as the Music Assistant Chair, has served as the Recording Secretary, and served as President for the 2018-2019 as well as the 2019-2020 school year. She also received the Katelyn N. Martibello Memorial Scholarship and the national SAI Undergraduate Scholarship in memory of Phyllis Dobbyn Holt from the fraternity. As President of the Zeta Upsilon chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, Ashley traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona to represent her chapter at the SAI 2018 National Convention. She also had the honor of representing her chapter as a queen candidate during the 2018 Edinboro Homecoming.

     In 2019, she was awarded the Sword of Honor for her continued work and accepted the 2019 Collegiate Chapter Achievement Award for Zeta Upsilon in the Province of Sigma C. Ashley was also awarded the Sigma Alpha Iota Scholastic Award and Sigma Alpha Iota Collegiate Honor Award when she graduated in 2020. After graduation, Ashley received the Province Collegiate Leadership Award known as the Ruby Sword of Honor.

     After graduation, Ashley affiliated as an Alumna member of the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter and served as the secretary. She now serves as the Province Officer for the Chi C Province of the fraternity. She is grateful for the many experiences and opportunities to grow as a leader musically through Sigma Alpha Iota.
